1. Five Minutes of Funk: 4/10. Sound reminiscent of previous album, still giving spooky thriller vibes. Fun concept but again an over 1 minute interlude that I wish wasn’t there.
2. Freaks Come Out at Night: 5/10. Love verse 3 on this one. Rap machine outro I actually didn’t mind this time, but another song that feels to be dragging a minute too long.
3. Featuring Grand Master Dee: 2/10. Just an instrumental of #1 but slightly longer? Unusual placement.
4. Big Mouth: 3/10. Maybe it’s Ecstasy that has the lisp? Very simple drumline that almost never changes besides adding some hihats, fun concept with some fun lyrics.
5. Escape (I Need a Break): 7/10. Some interesting distorted voice left sided pan. Love the content and lyrics, funky beat. Jut realized as the lyrics state, they contain no curse words.
6. Friends: 6/10. I know the chorus of this song, must be sampled somewhere. Love the outro beat and the back and forth between Jalil and Ecstasy.
7. Out of Control: 5/10. Instrumental, much more engrossing and groovy than track 3. Filled with sound effects and a fun skit.
8. We Are Whodini: 7/10. Great statement closer. The rap style feels more timeless, I can almost forget I’m listening to a track from this decade.
Overall Mathematical Score: 4.9/10
Does the heart agree?: Yes. I definitely enjoyed it more than their previous self-titled album but still some low-lows.
