Whodini – Bag-A-Trix (1991)

1. The Intro: 4/10. The beat productions seems messy but it feels like it’s almost there up until when the beat hits, which I do not like. I almost felt Ecstacy was riding the beat.

2. Judy: 7/10. Love Ecstacy’s inflections. Groovy beat, hilarious story. Definitely my favourite Whodini track from their discography.

3. Freaks: 5/10. The beat feels very polished, the harmonized chorus is pretty groovy. The guitar solo outro feels a little long.

4. Smilin’ Faces Sometimes: 3/10. The doubling is very disorienting, feels messy. Not sure I’m getting the message. Way too long.

5. Bag-A-Trix: 5/10. Almost feels like rock the boat sampled the hook flow? Some hilarious bars.

6. Taste of Love: 2/10. Sensual but in a gross way.

7. Inside The Joint: 4/10. Seems like it’s supposed to be a self-hype track but I am not feeling it. There is an echo on Ecstacy’s second verse that is quite annoying.

8. Lovers Or Friends: 5/10. Enjoy the storytelling in this one.

9. The Party Don’t Start: 5/10. Is there where this lyric originated? The chorus is pretty hype.

10. Day To Day: 3/10. Feels like it’s dragging on and on. Not connecting to any lyrics.

11. Milk My Cow: 3/10. Just so childish, made me laugh out loud though.

12. Nite For Jammin’: 4/10. Great instrumental. Very similar song structure the past 6 songs.

13. That’s Life: 3/10. The song layout is getting really tiring. Don’t remember this song so can’t tell that it’s a remix.

14. Bad Case Of Love: 2/10. Terrible storytelling, this doesn’t need a beat. They are barely using it.

Overall Mathematical Score: 4.0/10

Does the heart agree?: No, I thought this score would be lower. The second half really dragged on for me with the similarities in song structure, plus all feeling too long. I had hopes as it started off hot with my favourite Whodini track so far.
